22X22 / 193,600 BTUs / 100 PSI For use in your hot air furnace plenum. Not recommended for air compressors. This listing includes the install kit. Information about our heat exchangers. This heat exchanger is ideal for a 22″x23″ plenum or larger. The outlets come out on the 22 side (shown as the vertical side in the picture above). The fin area is 22″x22″. Outside Dimensions 22(width)x25.5(Length from Manifold to Base)x3.5(Thickness). There is a 1 frame on the end opposite the outlets that covers the copper elbows. This makes the area inside of your plenum 1 longer. All exchangers are 3 1/2 thick. Aluminum fins are installed at 12 fines per inch. All exchangers are triple pass design. Tubing is 1/4 copper. All our exchangers include the flat front face mounting for easier installation and increased plenum strength. Our exchangers have 1 copper outlets and can be installed with either sweat fittings or push fit type fittings like sharkbite’s. Exchangers will work with chilled water also. We stock many sizes, always order the largest size that will fit into your plenum. This also includes the installation kit shown in the pictures above. Installation brackets for installing water to air heat exchangers inside of furnace plenums. This easy to install kit takes all of the work out of installing a coil. Great for the do it yourselfer or the seasoned installer. Even most that are listed as 4″ are actually 3.5″. These heat exchangers are to be hooked up to a boiler or a chilled water source. These heat exchangers can also be used as a stand alone heat source by simply attaching a fan or squirrel cage to one side of the unit. They can be installed in either the hot air side or the cold air return of a furnace. Please note that if installed in the cold air return you will need to install a 3 way zone valve in order for the fan to operate properly. This heat exchanger is of a new style which does not require bending of your duct work. This new style heat exchanger can be easily installed by just slipping it into the plenum and attaching with self threading screws. You will not need any special tools to install. This unit is easier to install than others on the market because it attaches from the front instead of the side. Water to Air heat exchangers, often called duct coils or furnace radiators, are used for installing into forced air furnace to provide heat from hot water. They are usually installed into the cold air side of the furance if that is the best option. They work in much the same way as the central air conditioning unit. The following things should be taken into consideration when installing a duct coil. (1) Size the coil so that the fins take up the maximum amount of the plenum as possible. (2) Securely fasten the unit so that it doesn’t rattle. (3) Make sure there are no foreign objects are touching the fins or the tubes. (4) Duct tape any air leaks. (5) Do not bend the fins. If you do, straighten them as best you can. A tool called a “Rake” is available for straightening the fins. (6) If you are going to run your outside heat in the summer install a bypass valve. Information about our heat exchangers. This heat exchanger is ideal for a 16″x 17″ plenum or larger. The outlets come out on the 16 side (shown as the vertical side in the picture above). The fin area is 16″x 16″. There is a 1 frame on the end opposite the outlets that covers the copper elbows. This makes the area inside of your plenum 1 longer. All exchangers are 3 1/2 thick. Aluminum fins are installed at 12 fines per inch. All exchangers are triple pass design. Tubing is 1/4 copper. All our exchangers include the flat front face mounting for easier installation and increased plenum strength. Our exchangers have 1 copper outlets and can be installed with either sweat fittings or push fit type fittings like sharkbite’s. Exchangers will work with chilled water also. We stock many sizes, always order the largest size that will fit into your plenum. This also includes the installation kit shown in the pictures above. While this method works well, it can quickly become heat-soaked, robbing horsepower a big problem for you as an enthusiast. Your solution is the Alpha Turbo Cooler System which features a large, high efficiency heat exchanger, an additional reservoir that holds over a gallon of coolant and a high flow pump which runs in union with the factory pump. Whether you live in a warm region of the world, enjoy long spirited drives in the mountains or run long sessions at your local track, the S6/S7 Turbo Cooler will keep your intake temps low, maintaining your 4.0L V-8 twin-turbocharged engines maximum output. The Core of the System. The most important part of turbo cooler system is the heat exchanger core. Skimping here could mean the overall performance of an upgraded system might be worse than stock! While the OEM unit is a single pass design with a core area of 156in^2, our Alpha core is a high quality, triple pass unit in which the coolant makes three passes through the heat exchanger compare this to competing boost cooling kits which use a single pass design. Our premium core is made in the UK with a fin area of 417in^2. Thats almost three times the surface area of the stock core! For added durability, the fins are hemmed, giving it the added strength to withstand abuse from road debris. Increased Coolant Capacity, Decreased Heat Soak. The hand-fabricated Alpha coolant reservoir acts as a large heat sink so that coolant temperatures are kept low and stable. With over one gallon more coolant on board, it increases the cycle time of the coolant in your S6/S7, allowing more heat to dissipate before recirculating back into the system. To give you the best possible performance and to keep the coolant flowing efficiently through the larger Alpha heat exchanger, we added an additional high flow brushless pump to run in conjunction with the OEM brushless pump. The combination of the two pumps allow for a very high flow rate in order to keep fluid moving. The additional brushless pump also maintains that flow rate at higher pressures, giving you the assurance your car will stay cool in hot climates, extended track sessions or everyday driving.
